No date but 1880-1890, 156p, 7 1/4 x 5 inches. No Jacket. A book filled with recipes and housekeeping advice. Main courses and entrees, meat and fish pies, vegetables, potting and collaring, pastry and puddings, souffles and omelets, creams and jellies, relishes, custards, ices and cakes, desserts, preserves and pickles, butter and chees, wines, drinks and ale, cooker for the sick, bills of fare, duties of servants etc. With original illustrations, printed in colours by Kronheim. 4 Kronheim colour plates. (all complete) Contains complete end papers in green front and back with a number advertisements. Cover: Dark red cloth covered boards stamped in black. Corners and head/tail of spine lightly worn/bumped. Outer edge very slightly worn/frayed. Very good bright clean copy.
