In full: "Janie dear: How lovely to hear from you, and I'm truly sorry I didn't get a chance to see you in Mexico City. Good Lord -- why would we have to go that far to see each other with Beverly Hills and Bel Air touching toesies! We will have to play tennis -- I thought you were a golfer. As soon as I can get myself somewhat oriented to the demands of this schedule I seem to have put myself on with the television show, I'll be able to make plans longer than an hour ahead for tennis or lunching or any of those other nice, extracurricular things girls do when they're not "liberated" - working women. And I'll give you a call -- Where? I'm 273-8651. I was in San Francisco recently and everybody in our group had something lovely to say about Virginia Stanton and her unique abilities. I took the liberty of forwarding your nice letter along with my feelings about her to Henry Jaffe, who, incidentally wants to be remembered to you with love. Me too.
