Small 8vo (7 3/4" x 5 1/2"), blue blind-&-gilt stamped decorated cloth, frontispiece illustration is a photogravure of a painting of the author's warship & another illustration of a second ship, 253 pages. Scarce title especially in this bright condition. Cover rubbed and a bit bumped at corners but attractive gilt ship remains bright. Olive green endpaper, hinges, & pastedowns in excellent condition. Excellent content on significant naval operations during the American Civil War.
