1908. DARRIEUS, Gabriel. WAR ON THE SEA; Strategy and Tactics. (N.p.: Privately printed by Philip R. Alger, 1908). Translated by Philip R. Alger, Professor, U.S. Navy. 8vo., quarter black cloth, marbled paper sides, gilt spine title, red morocco gilt ownership label to front board (C.P. Snyder, Lieut. U.S.N.). Volume is edgeworn and cloth is severing along front joint. Some exterior dust soil. Light pencil notations within, else generally clean and fresh; overopened near the end of volume. Uncommon. Good plus to about very good.
