The series presented works by Emile de Antonio, Jean-Luc Goddard, D.A. Pennebaker, Andy Warhol, Carole Scheemann, Stan Brakhage, and others about the Vietnam War, as well as two films on protest against the war in Iraq. Concurrently, the Whitney presented Memorials of War, an exhibition of prints, sculpture and photographs from the Museum’s permanent collection, which brought together works made by artists from the 1960s to the present on the issues of war and memory.
