Spine bands worn, with some wear and rubbing also to panel edges as with age. Corners bumped. Previous owner's typed label to front pastedown of each volume. Frontis of volume 1 has some edge wear (with no loss), and is taped to half-title. Remains quite well-preserved overall. ; 8vo 8"" - 9"" tall; Description: 4v. Frontis. , ports, plates ; 24.5cm. Subjects: Gordon Relief Expedition, 1884-1885. British - Sudan - History - 19th century. Egypt - History - British occupation, 1882-1936. Note: Preface dated 1887.
