Appears unread, in original publisher's red cloth with black titles, no publisher's top stain, mild corner bumping, a touch of fraying to spine edges, pages are clean, bright, unmarked and binding tight. Neat previous owners bookplate on first pastedown from private library collection and small book store sticker on rear pastedown. Lacking only the scarce dust jacket. One of the earliest reprints of The War Chieffrom G&D publishers, uncommon in this very good plus condition. First appearance in 1927 in the pulp magazine Argosy All-Story Weekly. Classic ERB western adventure novel, collectible. 383 pgs. with glossary page, [9 pgs. Ads.]. 8vo.
