In full calf leather fine binding by “Bickers & Son.” Gilt paneled boards, raised banding and gilt decoration to spine, gilt lettering to brown leather label. Marbled endpapers and page edges. In very good condition. Some minor darkening and rubbing to edges, some rubbing and fading to spine. Some minor darkeing to endpapers, with binders stamp and neat inscription to front “Llandaff Cathedral School, Prize for English, Aubrey Isaac Rothwell Butler. 1892.” Some minor darkening to edges of frontis and title page, else inside pages and plates all very clean and tight. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 367pp. Illustrated with 16 full-page B&W plates.
