Sutton, 1982-04-01. Paperback. Good. Tall quarto, illustrated artistic and technical survey of roman wall painting in Britain, which began only after WWII. The author devised new methods of lifting, treatment and mounting of the artifacts. By the late 70s Dr. Davey had restored 80 panels. In this volume his methods and ancient technical features, with 15 of the plates in color. Crease to bottom corner of wrap, and light rubbing to edges, else good+. A very sound copy. Commentary on the art-historical aspect of the work by Dr. Ling.
