Seattle Mountaineers, 1982. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very good. signed and inscribed by author. Seattle: The Mountaineers 1982, first edition. Fine hardback in a VG unclipped dust jacket with a 1"" tear to rear bottom. 6.25 x 9.25 in., 214 pp. Account of first ascent of Hidden Peak (Gasherbrum I) in 1958. The written account languished until this book was published in 1982, authored by the expedition leader Clinch. Hidden Peak is the only 8000m peak to be first climbed by an American team. Pete Schoening & Andy Kauffman were the summiters. This copy is inscribed, signed & dated by author Clinch on the dedication page.
