Thoreau's transcendentalist beliefs led him to live a simple life at Walden Pond near Concord Massacusetts to "suck out all the marrow of life." Binding has some bumps to corners and spine ends. Very minor soiling. Endpapers slightly discolored. No internal markings. Features black and white photographs and frontispiece from the actual locations Thoreau wrote about.
