A sociological and musical anthology of sorts, gathering songs traditionally sung in Texas prisons by African Americans whose sentences mandated forced labor. This includes group songs, solo songs, songs for logging, songs for crosscutting, a study of the songs by J.B. Smith, etc. VERY GOOD condition. Minor to moderate uneven toning to the covers, with very light soiling.
