Daily Mirror, London, 1961. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: John Challen. VI, 125 pages. Illustrated endpapers, showing a wagon train at rest, black and white illustrations with pink highlights for the front endpapers and orange highlights for the rear endpapers. Illustration on the verso of the free front end paper shows a young boy and older man handling and wagon wheel, with blue highlights. Coloured illustrated frontispiece by John Challen. The text is illustrated with numerous black and white illustrations with another colour highlighting each illustration, throughout the book. Illustrated front cover by ' Michel ', with white and yellow titles on the front panel and white on the back strip. Rubbing and chipping to the head and to the heel of the back strip and to the book corners. Some marking and rubbing of the laminates of the book. Staining to the rear panel. Heavy browning to the text block edge and lighter browning to the internal pages. Previous owner's name across the full width of the free front end paper, top edge. Eight stories, three cartoon strips and two articles or based on the television series " Wagon Train ". The first story in the book is " Selwyn Mason's Secret ". This is the first UK edition.
