First published in 2002. Written by Michael Hall, with a foreword by Lord Rothschild, detailing his personal views on his ancestral home. This work explores the history of Waddesdon Manor, a country house in Buckinghamshire which is one of the National Trust's most visited properties. Hall presents the construction of the house to the furnishings, as well as life at Waddesdon and more. The house is co-managed by the Rothschild family, who owned the house until James de Rothschild's death in 1957. With photographs throughout by John Bigelow Taylor, known for his works on architecture, design and art. In the original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is excellent, with very minor shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Fine
