Illustrated throughout with monochrome images of available products. A detailed catalogue of products available, terms of business, and delivery of goods. With information on fireplaces, cookers, bath and showers, gutters and fittings, and many other products. W. N. Froy & Sons was founded in 1850 by William Nathaniel Froy as a builders' merchant to sell fittings, sanitary appliances, baths, stoves and many other items for the home. From the library of Doctor Malcolm Higgs, an important architectural historian who worked as an assistant architect to Stirling & Gowan, working on their particularly renowned Leicester University Engineering Laboratory. During his long career he taught at the University of Edinburgh School of Architecture, Canterbury School of Architecture, and University of Nottingham. Later in his life he was the Vice-President and Honorary Librarian of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and contributed and edited the "Journal of Architecture". In the original green cloth binding with grey boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Rear joint starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
