About This Item
London: The British Academy/Stainer & Bell, 1981. Soft cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Early English Church Music Volume 25; John Taverner II. Transcribed and edited by Hugh Benhan. Taverner¿s votive antiphons represent the largest and most varied contribution to the genre of any early 16th-century composer. They are here presented alphabetically, in two distinct groups of large-works, presumably associated with major feasts, and shorter and simpler pieces. Two fragments, Virgo pura and Prudens virgo and the textless Quemadmodum are also included. VG unmarked copy in soft covers. The spine is a little faded and lightly creased. 190 pages. Shipping Category: Book/Large Score.
