Four volumes. Red pebbled cloth with gilt particulars to spine. Volume I is description (in Dutch) of assorted species of bird, while Volumes II-IV are entirely hand-colored lithographs of birds (vol. II, 118 plates; vol III, 118 plates; vol. IV 126 plates. Bookplate of H. Bradley Martin to front pastedown of all volumes. Marbled endpapers. Volumes I and II have indentations from previous banding; Volume II has blotchy fading to spine; Volume III and IV have strips of sunning to top of front board (see image); Volume IV has staining to spine. All 362 hand-colored plates present.
