Rome: Andrea De Fei, 1642. Quarto. Contemporary vellum, black morocco label, edges of text block dyed green. Contemporary or near-contemporary manuscript spine label and notes on the endpapers, contemporary ownership inscription washed from the title page, attractive 20th-century bookplate. Lacking the engraved frontispiece & portrait of the author which is often missing, including in the Macclesfield copy. Boards scratched and marked, contents with some tanning, spotting, and damp stain. Very good condition.Ex Libris of Pietro Toesca to front pastedown. Text in Italian.
