Scarce Blanding title, a "rollicking epic ballad of Virgin Annie,'' illustrated with the slightly scandalous pen-and-ink drawings of A.B. Butler, Jr. Originally published in 1928 & reprinted in 1930, this is the 1933 printing. Unpaginated. Small hardcover 16mo has red cloth-covered boards & yellow/black title box paste down to front cover. Condition is VG: very clean, pages moderately but evenly tanned, but completely unmarked. Offsetting to endpapers, minor rubbing to extremities & corner bumping, with a bit of cloth fraying. Decorative folded/sealed "consumption of the ballad" in rear is ripped & missing some paper; rear hinge is cracked. SPECIAL: order any other Blanding book at same time for only $1.00 extra shipping!
