New York: Stuyvesant Press, 1893. Hardcover. Very Good -. This copy of The Violet belonged to Theodore Sherwood Hope, who belonged to the Delta Upsilon fraternity listed on p. 41. This is page marked with arrows - no other writing or markings except for pencil scribble on rear pastedown. Mild foxing throughout. Page edges are uncut with a few closed tears to last pages. Front interior hinge split approx 2" with gauze exposed, else binding is tight. Violet cloth covers with gilt lettering and design to front board and gilt head edge. Covers soiled with bumped corners. A few other small mementos of Hope family history laid in. Full refund if not satisfied.
