New Haven and London: Yale University Press, 1965. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Bound in red paper covered boards with red & gilt decoration to spine. Black endpages. Illustrated throughout in black & white, with 4 folding plates. Age darkening to pages; mostly to outer page edges. Dustjacket shows light wear & darkening to outer extremities, two closed tears, some dust soil over all. Slight fade to spine panel. Two small stains to the front panel.
