New Haven & London: Yale University Press. Near Fine. 1965. Third. Hardcover. Third printing. Pp. xii, 291. Illustrations, facsimilies, maps (some folded). Facsimile of Basle world map, [1440] including Iceland, Greenland and Vinland. Extensive comments and attempts at interpretations; history and description of manuscript. The text of the Tartar relation is in Latin; the facsimile is accompanied by transcription of the Latin text with English translation on facing pages. Laid in is a newspaper review by Don Ross, date in pencil, January 1974. Overall a very good or better copy in rust colored paper on board with gold lettering, red spine design, moderate shelf wear. The dust jacket has a large chip from the tail and minor chips and creases along the edge. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
