Stockholm, Bokförlaget Natur och Kultur, 1945. Thick 8vo (23.0 x 15.6 cm). xlviii, 443 pp.; 361 text illustrations, 212 coloured photographic plates. Coontemporary gilt-bordered half morocco over patterned boards. Gilt bands, floral vignette and title on the spine. Marbled endpapers. = A fundamental monograph on the cryptogams of Scandinavia in a good, nicely bound copy. Inscribed by the first author, the Swedish botanist John Axel Nannfeldt (1904-1985) on the first blank, viz., a dedication (and happy new year) to the French botanist and mycologist Roger Heim (1900-1979), dated Uppsala 23 XII 1948. The second author, Gustaf Einar Du Rietz (1895-1967), was a Swedish lichenologist and ecologist. Both authors were professors at Uppsale University. Front hinge tender, otherwise very good. A unique copy. Neither in Nissen BBI nor in Stafleu and Cowan.
