First edition, first printing. 270pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 12mo. A little rounded at spine ends, cloth mottled and marked, sunned over spine. Some faint and occasional spotting on first and last few pages, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Sheila Kaye-Smith was a popular English novelist, known for her many novels set in borderland country between Sussex and Kent.
