Profusely illustrated with 14 chromolithographs by Franz Kellerhoven, Felix Elie Regamey and E. Allard, and 410 woodcuts, many full page, in the text by Etienne Huyot and his son Jules Huyot.

Bound in red buckram with intricate gilt embossing on the covers and spine, decorative black and gilt endpapers, AEG. Text in French. v, 577pp. 4pp. of publisher's advertisements.

Condition: spine repaired, rear board starting, interior fresh and clean with very slight foxing.
