Lippincott Co., 1912, Ex Library with usual library markings Hardback in acceptable condition, NO dust jacket. Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight, tanning of pages due to paper used and age. Cover is gold embossed with outline of Hugo, however shows heavy wear on spine with small tears in cloth binding, top of casing is gold. Has usual library markings, on spine and inside discard stamp, etc. This appears to be a lst edition of this work on Hugo. 22 chapters starting with his ancestry, family life, writing life, health and last years. B&W illustrations, index, 351 pages.
