Properly deaccessioned institutional duplicate with tiny release stamp on verso of title, pencil literary ownership signature in corner of title, small chip from upper forecorner of front wrapper, several repaired tears in spine covering, internally very good or better, without slipcase. Illustarted with original color lithographs by Matisse (including the double-spread "The Dance)" and Andre Derain (accompanying Mardrus's "In the Garden of Allah"), along with photos by Brassai and others, and text (translated by Robert Sage) by Valery, Reverdy, Garcia Lorca, Sartre, Bataille, and many others.
