Berkeley: Wilderness Press, 1981. Reprint . Durable Pictorial Soft Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. SIGNED BY ROWELL on the short title page. Though copyright is 1974, this is a reprint because the first edition was not printed in Japan. Though not dated, this was most likely printed in 1981 based on a review in a journal. On the copyright page, the sticker "printed in Japan" covers a misprint: "printed in Iapan". This book is the same size and format as the first printing, but has a softcover binding. Copies of this classic Yosemite climbing book that are signed by Rowell are becoming increasingly difficult to find. The book measures 279mm tall x 224mm and has 207 + [1] pages, 115 b/w & 16 color photos. Book is in near fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages (excluding Rowell's signature), no creased pages, no soiling. There is a tiny bit of abrasion to the the very tip of the top front cover corner and a very shallow scratch (not through the surface) lower front cover that is barely visible unless holding the book obliquely under bright light. PHOTOS are of the actual book being offered (not stock photos).
