About This Item
Poul Kristensen, 1989 4to (31.5 cm), 110 pp. Printed wrappers with flaps (wrappers slightly rubbed at extremities and dusted). Text in both English and Danish. The volume includes two essays: "Nicolas Jenson and the Rise of the Roman Letterform" by Martin Lowry and "Nicolaus Ienson Gallicus" by George Abrams. These essays, "from slightly differing viewpoints, focus on Nicolas Jenson as a central figure in the history of book publishing during the Renaissance, as well as in the history of letter-forms right down to the present day" (from an introduction by Poul Steen Larsen).
