No wear to covers or spine but top edge to 1cm and spine are moderately sunned. Standard university library markings though condition suggests the book saw limited circulation. No DJ. The Clark Lectures, 1963: Spenser and Bunyan; The Romantics; The Victorians; The Contemporary World: Poetry and Drama; The Contemporary World: Prose Narrative. Louis MacNeice delivered these Clark Lectures in the spring of 1963, a few months before his death. They are printed here with no more than the necessary minimum editorial revision. Jacket unclipped (priced $4.50 and 22s. 6d.), lightly rubbed at edges with one or two tiny chips and tears, sunned at rear along edges: Very Good. A pleasing copy of MacNeice's last extended work of literary criticism: discussions of "parable, symbolism, allegory, fable, fantasy, myth" given as the Clark Lectures in 1963, shortly before the author's death.
