About This Item
New York: Springer, 1972. Inscribed by Van Buren on title page of volume 1: "To Will Sweet/with best wishes/John Van Buren." "In 1972, John Van Buren and Borke published an atlas showing the thalmic nuclei in more detail than had previously been available. This atlas used Talairach's AC_PC plane as the axial baseline. Like Hassler's atlas, the atlases of Andrew and Watkins and by Van Buren and Borke emphasised the subnuclear structure of the thalamus" (Greenblatt, History of Neurosurgery, 422). William H. Sweet, for many years Chief of the Neurosurgical Service at the Massachusetts General Hospital, was one of the leading, mid-20th-century neurosurgeons.. Signed by One Author. First Edition. Original Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket.
