Greenwich: New York Graphic Society, (1961). First edition. "Letters revealing his life as a painter," selected and with foreword by W.H. Auden. Illustrated with 8 tipped-in color plates of paintings and 24 drawings in black and white. Bright and fine in very good dust jacket with creased tear to top edge rear panel internally mended with archival tape, corners and spine ends very lightly nicked, and spine scuffed (not affecting any lettering).
