The dossiers conserved by S. Uffizio and studied by the board of theologists appointed by Leone XIII, comprise the contents of this first volume that include documents referring to the legation of Cardinal Pole in England during the time of Queen Mary (1553-1557); some dossiers on the question of ex-anglican ministers converted to catholicism during the 17th and 18th centuries; and the internal Report of the Counsellor, later Cardinal, Giambattista Franzelin, SJ, on the same topic following a question by the Archbishop of Westminster.
