Illustrated. 308pp. A lovely copy of this signed presentation copy to Squadron Leader Dennis Bird . First edition (1988). Blue ink inscripton ' For Dennis Bird best wishes, Norman Franks' to the title page and signed by Ronnie Rotheram in the margin adjacent to his photograph on the illustration page pp131. Silver embossed lettering to the spine and illustrated with numerous b/w photographs and several maps. There are light bumps to the head and tail of the spine with slight creasing to the overlying wrapper. Fresh and clean. Dust wrapper not price clipped with slight shelf wear. No tears or loss. Clean and bright. A very good copy.
