London: J.M. Dent. Bound in red cloth with clear gilt titles to spine, this dated 1897 hardcover Second English Edition is VG. (V111)/541pp with 72 Chapters and clean endpapers all present. Prelims as follows: Fixed endpaper, free endpaper, half- title with advert for other works by Sienkiewicz on verso, title page with reproduced letter fron author on verso, Dedication page with blank verso, Introductory page by Jeremiah Curtain, dated 1896 with blank verso. Then Chapter One. Several small and indistinct stains to boards, minimal rubbing to top/tail of spine, otherwise all VG . Very Good. Hardcover. Second English Edition. 1897.
