Octavo, first American edition, pp. 541, 4 (ads), green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine, gilt bust on front. Historical fiction covering the times of Nero, translated from the original Polish by Jeremiah Curtin, was made into a movie repeatedly. Condition of this book: Covers rubbed at edges and corners, small stain on back, a few spots on fore edge, front hinge crack, overall good. Shipments outside the U.S. may be subject to local taxes. This is the first USA edition. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
