Tonnage 5200. 3 Engines (direct acting) 2000 Horse power. Diameter of Cylinder 72 inches. Built by Murphy & Co New York. Modeled by George Steers, Built at the Navy Yard Brooklyn, NY. Carries twelve Dahlgren weighing 14 tons each 11 inches diameter in the bore throwing a solid shot of 270 Ilbs or a shell of 180 Ilbs a distance of four miles.
