Joanna Southcott, 1750 - 1814, fanatic, born daughter Devonshire farmer, Domestic servant. from 1792 wrote doggerel prophecies. 1801 started publishing work and making converts. prophecied would give birth to "Mystic Man" 20 pp. purple decorated w silver, v. faded and worn to spine and edges. some pages loose, staples gone and replaced by thread. light foxing . Thre inch split in spine.
