Los Angeles: Paramount Pictures, 1986. Revised Draft script for the 1987 film, copy belonging to Second Assistant Director James W. Skotchdopole with the manuscript ink annotation of "Jimmy Scotch 2nd" on the top of the title page, with 16 color slides, shooting schedules, call sheets, various production documents and memos, and newspaper clippings laid in, all housed in a folder with ink annotations of "Studio - Work" on the tab, and "The Untouchable [sic] / Great Falls - Montana / Cgo- Ill," on the front panel. Script with manuscript marker annotations on 22 pages, and a copiously annotated post-it on the verso of page 104 headed with "Need Dbl for Kevin" in large text.
The laid in materials include: 16 slides, comprised of portrait photographs, reference photographs, studio still photographs, set photographs, and on the set photographs, eleven of which have still photographer Zade Rosenthal stamps on the bottom margin. 86 pages of shooting schedules. Seven call sheets. Multiple copies of a three page cast /character list and a five page staff and crew list. Memos relating to "Blue Script Revisons, "Hair/Make Up Information," and "Continuity of Days and Nights for Your Approval." And five newspaper clippings comprising three articles: "'Untouchables' talk shop about their movie roles" from the October 10, 1986 edition of the Great Falls Tribune, "Movie stunt men at Hardy Bridge" from the October 13, 1986 edition of the Great Falls Tribune, and "Up On The Roof With De Palma" by Roger Ebert, printed in the January 30, 1987 issue of Movieline magazine.
Loosely based on the 1957 memoir by Eliot Ness with Oscar Fraley, about Ness' investigation and eventual arrest of Chicago kingpin Al Capone. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sean Connery (his only Academy Award nomination), and nominated for three others.
Set and shot on location in Chicago and Montana.
Black titled wrappers. Title page present, dated July 22, 1986, noted as Revised, with credits for screenwriter David Mamet and director Brian DePalma. 132 leaves, with last page of text numbered 118. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with blue and pink revision pages throughout, dated 8-8-86 and 8-12-86. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with three gold brads.
