About This Item
Tight, square spine. Unmarked interior has some toning and a very small dampstain affecting around 50 pages of text at the foot. Covers have some light to moderate wear, including toning, bumped corners, and some small areas of subtle soiling. An impactful mid-century collection by Russell here, with a cover by one of the era's most iconic graphic design firs: Brownjohn, Chermayeff & Geismar. A selection of Russell's writings critical of dogmatic thought. Russell claimed he owed his long life to a love of tobacco after living through a 1948 Norwegian plane crash in which the survivors—roughly half the passengers—were seated in the nonsmoking section. 175 pp.
