Spine firm, slightly canted, mildly edge-rubbed, bright gilt title there-on. Plain brown cloth boards mildly edge-rubbed. Leaves clean, crisp and unmarked, Colour art-illustrated (taken from a painting, 'The Stockman', by Sir Russell Drysdale) dustjacket has a degree of sunning to spine (title clearly legible), a corner crease to front and rear flap, tiny nick to lower front flap fold, minimal edge-creasing and surface indentations, mild edge discoloration. "Frank Hardy, on a self-searching trip to the Northern Territory, becomes involved in a heart-rending struggle between a courageous Aboriginal tribe, the Gurindji, and the management of a foreign-owned cattle station. After a hundred years of exploitation and discrimination, the Aboriginal stockmen finally go on strike and demand better pay and conditions, and a share of the land that was once theirs . . .
