New York : Pantheon, 1956. 1st Edition 3rd Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. From the recently auction collection of Caroline Riesor Rau and David Wallerstein. A superb and fine copy in fine condition in an equally rare near fine dustjacket-not price clipped. This copy is signed and inscribed "To Caroline-from Anne" . Very hard to find in this kind of condition--Author of "A Gift From The Sea". a presentation copy to Caroline Riesor Rau--a Chicago socialite and prolific book collector and wife of David Wallerstein-David Wallerstein was the President of the Balaban & Katz movie theater group as well as friends with Ray Kroc and Walt Disney and later served on the Board of Directors of Disney, ABC and McDonalds. It was Wallerstein who introduced the world to "Supersize" drinks and fries. A great collectible copy with solid provenance.
