Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1961 First printing of the first edition. Number twenty in the "Indiana University Poetry Series." Author's first book. Faint toning to the front endpaper, else book in fine condition; dust jacket with a couple short closed tears, toning to spine, a couple small blemishes, and light rubbing to extremities, else fine. A very nice collectible.
A few of Kizer's writing distinctions: the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry (1985), the Theodore Roethke Memorial Poetry Prize, Borestone Award (6 times), and the Pushcart Prize (3 times).
