Inscribed copy of the first original book, a collection of poems, by the author of The New York Trilogy, etc. Weston, CT: Living Hand, 1974. First edition. 24pp. 8vo. Saddle-stitched in wraps. Moderate sunning to spine and covers; an area of light soiling to front cover at fore-edge; toning to edges of leaves; inscribee's ownership seal blind-embossed to title page. About very good, with a penciled correction, presumably in Auster's hand, to the eleventh poem. Signed and inscribed by Auster to the half-title: "For John- In friendship. Paul." The third publication of Living Hand, the imprint Auster ran with his then-wife Lydia Davis.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.
We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
