Marion Crawford novel is bound in brown leather and marbled paper. The edges are rubbed, paper scuffed, spine has light rubbing, corners a little bumped. Bookplate of Ogden Codman, Jr on the inside front cover. Codman was a successful architect and interior designed and he wrote a book with Edith Wharton. He decorated homes for two Vanderbilts, John D. Rockefeller Jr, Edith Wharton. He was a gay man who married a woman, as was the custom of the day. The binding is signed by a Paris bindery Bonneal.
