Well illustrated with mnany B&W In-Text illustrations and Full Page Plates by Charles Sheldon. Frontis shows a white soldier and an Arab in a mid eastern room. Title page has Vignette of a man in stockinged feet watching and Arab stalking a man wearing white pith helmet. Red and Black Lettering. Light grey/brown cloth cover with Black, white & Red illus of Egyptian soldier brandishing a torch. Gilt Lettering and hukka on spine. All page edges Green. 362 p.pages, 730g, 8" Tall. Some rubbing to front and rear boards. Spine a little tanned. Penciled inscription on endpaper. No lother illustrations. Hinges sound & text block firm. Several spots of foxing on fly leaf, half title page, contents and first few pages. Only an occasiona spot elsewhere.
