This book is in fair condition. Moderate chipping to both ends of spine. Moderate bumping and chipping to all corners of boards. Moderate staining on all edges of textblock. Front hinge cracked exposing mesh. Old library markings on front pastedown and endpaper. Moderate staining throughout textblock. Rear hinge cracked exposing mesh.

This novel was inspired by a series of essays the author wrote on on New York tenements while traveling.
