Clean green ribbed cloth boards with gold decoration and lettering on cover and spine (faint spot of soiling to spine). Slight surface wear to spine corners, no fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Charming previous owner inscription dated Christmas 1926 on front free endpaper. With an Introduction by Thomas Nelson Page. All pages are decorated with a beatuiful elaborate border. One page (page 85/86) has been roughly opened and has a 4" diagonal tear. Illustrations throughout by A. B. Frost and E. W. Kemble. 265 pages. Size approx. 7-1/2" x 10"..
