About This Item
Philadelphia: American Sunday School Union, 1838. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 16mo. 263 pages. Hardcover in yellow illustrated cloth with cover designs in black and in gilt. Binding is rubbed, has bumping at corners, a few stray ink marks on rear board. Fore-edge of text block has what appears to be ink marks. Spine has an ink mark along the middle part of the cloth. Pencil notation on front pastedown. Text is toned, with occasional foxing. There is a 1 1/2 inch tear at the fore edge of the leaf for pages 13-14, running into the text. The only copyright date on this book is 1838, but this is clearly a late 19th century publication and was likely produced in the 1880s.

About Pages Past Used and Rare Books
Pages Past is a small used & rare bookshop located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 1996 we have been serving the Triad community as well as customers from around the world. We have around 15-20,000 volumes in our shop. We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
