About This Item
Milan, Italy: Emilio Bestetti , 1945. This is an almost very good hardcover reference copy bound in black cloth with gilt title on the spine. Very clean inside and out, but the pages are tanning and there was a moisture splash to the top page edge near the spine. This is visible internally at the top near the middle of the book. Not all that visible, but there. No mustiness. One name to a front endpaper. Not ex-library. Text by Adami in Italian. 296 plates in both color and black & white. Plate list fully identifies the artists. About 65 artists who designed sets for La Scala during the glorious first century of its' existence. Costume designs by 37 designers (many also designed sets). 13" high X 9" wide, 33 text pages + plates. Large heavy book foreign postage will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking. . Hard Cover. Very Good.
